    Couples Therapy

Relationships can be one of the greatest sources of connection, support, and meaning in our lives — but they can also become strained when communication breaks down, trust is impacted, or couples find themselves stuck in recurring patterns of conflict, distance, or disconnection. Couples therapy provides a supportive and non-judgmental space where both partners can feel heard, understood, and supported while working toward healthier patterns of communication and connection.

My approach to couples therapy is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based therapeutic model that focuses on strengthening emotional bonds, improving communication, and helping couples better understand the deeper emotions and attachment needs that often drive conflict. Rather than focusing solely on arguments or surface-level disagreements, EFT helps couples explore the underlying patterns that may leave partners feeling disconnected, unheard, rejected, or emotionally unsafe.

Together, we work to:

  • Improve communication and emotional understanding

  • Rebuild trust and emotional connection

  • Navigate conflict in healthier and more productive ways

  • Strengthen intimacy, support, and partnership

  • Identify and change recurring negative relationship patterns

  • Develop greater empathy, emotional responsiveness, and security within the relationship

I recognize that every relationship is unique, and there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to healing and growth. My goal is to create a collaborative, respectful, and balanced therapeutic space where both individuals feel safe to express themselves openly and honestly without fear of judgment. Therapy is not about assigning blame — it is about increasing understanding, strengthening connection, and helping couples move toward healthier and more fulfilling ways of relating to one another.

Couples may seek therapy for a variety of concerns, including communication difficulties, ongoing conflict, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, life transitions, parenting stress, intimacy challenges, or the impact of mental health, trauma, addiction, or external stressors on the relationship. Whether couples are experiencing significant distress or simply wanting to strengthen their relationship, therapy can provide meaningful tools, insight, and support for lasting change.

My hope is to help couples better understand themselves and each other, improve emotional well-being within the relationship, and move toward a more connected, secure, and supportive partnership.

Couples therapy sessions are 60 minutes in length and are offered at a rate of $200 per session. A limited sliding scale may be available depending on individual financial circumstances and service availability.
