A New Direction Clinical
Individual Counselling
Individual counselling provides a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space to explore life’s challenges, strengthen coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth and change.
I work with individuals experiencing concerns related to:
-
anxiety and stress
-
depression and low mood
-
emotional regulation
-
relationship difficulties
-
life transitions
-
self-esteem and identity
-
addictions and substance use
-
workplace or personal stress
-
communication and interpersonal challenges
My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, accountability, and respect for each individual’s unique experiences and goals. I strive to provide a trauma-informed, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where individuals feel safe exploring difficult emotions, experiences, and patterns at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful.
Together, we work to better understand patterns, build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create lasting change in a way that feels practical, personalized, and sustainable.
Counselling sessions may incorporate elements of:
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
strengths-based approaches
-
trauma-informed approaches
-
emotion-focused approaches
-
motivational interviewing
-
solution-focused strategies
-
psychoeducation and skill development
Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply looking for support, I strive to provide a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported while working toward meaningful change, or to move forward in a new direction.
Individual counselling sessions are 60 minutes in length and are offered at a rate of $175 per session. A limited sliding scale may be available depending on individual financial circumstances and service availability.
